My role isn't simply to write a script and read it on your wedding day. I shape the thread that runs through your ceremony, guide your loved ones through what they'll say, and bring your story to life in front of your guests. I manage the pacing, the transitions, the laughter and the emotional moments, so you can fully enjoy your ceremony without worrying about how it all unfolds.

No. In France, only a marriage performed at city hall (la mairie) is legally binding. A symbolic ceremony has no legal value, but it's entirely up to you: you choose its tone, its flow, who takes part and the promises you want to make. That freedom is exactly what makes a deeply personal ceremony possible. Many couples from abroad get legally married at home, then celebrate their symbolic ceremony in France.

It all starts with genuine conversations. I get to know your story and how you work as a couple. I may also speak with some of your loved ones to gather their memories and help them prepare their remarks. From all of that, I write a one-of-a-kind ceremony, and we fine-tune it together until it's truly yours.

A ceremony usually lasts between 45 minutes and about 1 hour and 15 minutes. But its success isn't measured on a stopwatch: it's all about pacing. Speeches, music, laughter, emotion and pauses should flow naturally, without dragging on or feeling rushed. So the length is tailored to your story and to the number of people speaking.

Quite the opposite: when it's done right, humor makes the emotion even stronger. It puts your guests at ease, creates a sense of connection and makes the ceremony truly come alive. As a trained actor, I know how to find the right tone, get a laugh without ever making light of your story, and give emotion all the space it needs when it arrives.

Handfasting, a sand ceremony, a time capsule, a love letter exchange or a ritual created just for you: anything is possible, as long as it's meaningful to you. I'll never suggest a ritual just because it's expected. Together, we choose the one that truly says something about you as a couple.

I'm based in Paris and officiate non-religious ceremonies in Paris and the Île-de-France region, in Orléans and the Loire Valley, and throughout France, in English or French.

Most couples book about a year before their wedding date: the sooner, the better. But it's never too late to ask. Depending on my availability, especially on less popular dates, there's often a way to make it work.
